Analysis and synthesis of defected ground structures (DGS) using transmission line theory
2005 European Microwave Conference, 2005This paper presents a T-shaped DGS which has a wider range of gap capacitance due to two adjacent conductor strips protruded into the dumbbell-shaped DGS. In addition, this structure is completely analyzed and its design equations are provided using transmission line theory.

This paper investigates on a combination of Defected Ground Structure (DGS) and dielectric rod in the normal mode helical antenna (NMHA) design. The effects of the combination of DGS and dielectric rod to the helical antenna performances were studied. All designs operate at low frequency in the range of the UHF band.

In this paper a novel antenna for 5G applications was proposed. The antenna has a small structure, its dimensions are 10x10 mm2 and it is printed on a Rogers substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2 and thickness of 0.5 mm to operate at 28 GHz.
