Mass Transport Mechanisms in 2D Laminar Nanofluidic Membranes for Separation and Energy Conversion

open access: yesCarbon Innovation, EarlyView.
This review explores how two‐dimensional laminar membranes govern the transport of ions and molecules in confinement for advanced separation and energy conversion. By discussing how nanochannel architecture shapes membrane performance, this work highlights cation intercalation and functional modifications to improve osmotic energy harvesting ...

Filtenna Designed with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) for Ultra-wideband Applications

open access: yesJurnal Kejuruteraan
In microwave imaging applications, filter and antenna are the key components as front-end devices and function independently. Antenna radiates and receives signals to or from nearby scattered objects while filter is used to suppress unwanted signals noise before and after the required bandwidth.

Epilepsy characteristics in patients with muscle‐eye‐brain disease: A systematic review of electroclinical features

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Objectives Muscle‐Eye‐Brain disease (MEB) is a dystroglycanopathy that belongs to the congenital muscular dystrophies. Central nervous system manifestations include congenital brain abnormalities, neurodevelopmental delay, and epilepsy, making it a rare but important cause of developmental and epileptic encephalopathy.

Triple-band antenna with defected ground structure (DGS) for WLAN/WiMAX applications

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract This paper presents a triple-band rectangular patch antenna that can be operated in three different resonance frequencies of 2.40 GHz, 3.50 GHz, and 5.80 GHz for WLAN and WiMAX applications. The FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.3 is used, with the dimensions of the substrate 34×30×1.6mm3.

Modeling temporal lobe epilepsy with hippocampal sclerosis in rats using the selective neurotoxin stable substance P‐saporin

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
On day 0 adult male and female rats were injected with Stable Substance P‐Saporin (SSP‐SAP) at 4 unilateral sites along the longitudinal axis of the dentate gyrus. Rats exhibited spontaneous electrographic and behavioral reactive seizures between days 4‐6. There was a progressive loss of CA1 and CA3 neurons and a progressive increase in astrocytes over

Study of resonant structures with DGS (Defected Ground Structure)

open access: yes, 2007
El interés en el desarrollo de circuitos en guías de onda coplanar (CPW) y líneas de transmisión con estructuras grabadas en el plano de tierra (DGS) se ha incrementando en los últimos años.

Microstrip linear phase low pass filter based on defected ground structures for partial response modulation

open access: yes, 2017
We report a high performance linear phase low pass filter (LPF) designed for partial response (PR) modulations. For the implementation, we adopted microstrip technology and a variant of the standard stepped‐impedance technique. Defected ground structures

Ultrawideband Harmonic Suppression in Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Novel Defected Ground Structures

open access: yes, 2020
Suppressing higher-order modes up to sixth harmonics of the fundamental working frequency in a single-layer microstrip line-fed patch antenna has been successfully demonstrated. Higher-order modes of the antenna are suppressed by simultaneously employing
