Combining Treatment of Acute Malnutrition With Integrated Community Case Management: A Cluster‐Randomised Controlled Trial (SETiPlus)

open access: yesMaternal &Child Nutrition, Volume 22, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Achieving good treatment coverage and outcomes for acutely malnourished children is challenging in resource limited and remote settings. Inclusion of treatment within integrated community case management (iCCM) programmes has shown promise, but evidence is limited. We conducted a cluster randomised controlled trial in rural villages within the

INVESTIGATING ON WIDEBAND MICROSTRIP BANDPASS FILTERS USING DEFECTED GROUND STRUCTURE (DGS)

open access: yes, 2014
Includes bibliographical references (pages 55-56).In the front-end trans-receiver of a communication system, a microwave filter is required to suppress some unwanted frequencies while pass some of the desired frequencies.

Exploring the Potential of Zero‐Dimensional Carbon Nanomaterials in Photoluminescent, Electrochemiluminescent and Electrochemical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 11, 9 June 2026.
Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical

A Microstrip Patch Antenna with Defected Ground Structure(DGS) for WiMAX and WLAN Applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology, 2019
A rectangular microstrip patch antenna with defected ground structure with E-shaped and square shaped slot on the patch is proposed here. The proposed antenna design consists of H-shaped defect on the ground plane. The complete antenna system is constructed on 45.4mm X 45.4mm X 1.6mm, FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.4 and substrate height ...

Topological Point Defects in SmC* Liquid Crystals Under Mechanical Disturbance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 11, 9 June 2026.
Tangetial air jet shear inducess island formation and nucleates topological point defects in uniform SmC films. Island bounded by edge dislocation loops shrink and transform into isolated point defects under continued shear. Mechanical perturbatio provides a controllable route for defect engineering in smectric liquid crystal thin films.

High Prevalence of SOD1 Pathogenic Variants in the UK Biobank: Implications for Early Intervention in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, Volume 99, Issue 6, Page 1502-1515, June 2026.
Objective SOD1 is the second most frequently mutated gene in European patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Given the recent authorization of SOD1‐targeted antisense oligonucleotides for SOD1‐ALS, prompt screening for SOD1 mutations in patients with ALS patients is highly recommended.

Injuries in deep time: interpreting competitive behaviours in extinct reptiles via palaeopathology

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 3, Page 1073-1090, June 2026.
ABSTRACT For over a century, palaeopathology has been used as a tool for understanding evolution, disease in past communities and populations, and to interpret behaviour of extinct taxa. Physical traumas in particular have frequently been the justification for interpretations about aggressive and even competitive behaviours in extinct taxa.

MICROSTRIP FILTERS USING DEFECTED GROUND STRUCTURE

open access: yes, 2009
The thesis deals with the microstrip filter design using defected ground structure (DGS). The difference between standard asymmetric microstrip technique and DGS is in using the structures etched in the microwave substrate ground plane.

Review on Bandwidth Enhancement Techniques in Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Planar Antennas

open access: yesJournal of Engineering
Ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas have grown into fundamental constituents in advanced wireless applications owing to their ability to support significantly wide band frequencies demanded to achieve accelerated communication, radar, sensing, and imaging ...
