Host specificity, molecular phylogeny and morphological differences of Phyllodistomum pseudofolium Nybelin, 1926 and Phyllodistomum angulatum Linstow, 1907 (Trematoda: Gorgoderidae) with notes on Eurasian ruffe as final host for Phyllodistomum spp.

open access: yesParasites & Vectors, 2017
Background Host-specificity patterns are not well-defined for trematodes of the genus Phyllodistomum Braun, 1899. The Eurasian ruffe, Gymnocephalus cernuus L., has been recorded as a definitive host for Phyllodistomum folium (Olfers, 1816), P.

Engagement Patterns with an AI Health Coach for Systemic Sclerosis Self‐Management: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective To evaluate utility of an artificial intelligence (AI) health coach for systemic sclerosis (SSc) self‐management and identify patterns associated with participant engagement. Methods We conducted a mixed‐methods study in which an AI health coach, powered by a large language model (LLM), was used to support self‐management for SSc.

Suitability of invasive gobies as paratenic hosts for acanthocephalans of the genus Pomphorhynchus sp.

open access: yesParasitology
Ponto-Caspian gobies became highly abundant in many regions outside their native distribution range (e.g. in the Rhine River system). In the newly invaded habitats, the parasite communities of the invasive gobies are characterized by a lower species ...

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Crab-eating fox (Cerdocyon thous), a South American canid, as a definitive host for Hammondia heydorni

open access: yes, 2009
Hammondia heydorni is a cyst forming coccidia closely related to other apicomplexans, such as Toxoplasma gondii, Neospora caninum and Hammondia hammondi with a two-host life cycle.

Chickens Definitive Hosts to Species of Prosthogonimus

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1932
Abstract THAT dragonfly nymphs transmit cysts of Prosthogonimus species to chickens was demonstrated experimentally by Kotlan and Chandler (1927). Their experiments were made with adult chickens which were fed entire nymphs and imagos. After a month, examinations were made, and mature flukes were found in the oviducts.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Prevalence of Echinococcus spp. Infection Using Coproantigen ELISA among Canids of Moghan Plain, Iran [PDF]

open access: yes
Background: Echinococcosis is one of the most important helminthic zoonotic diseases in Iran. Intestinal Scraping Technique (IST), the traditional method for diagnosis of infection in definitive hosts, has many disadvantages including low susceptibility ...

Toward Knowledge‐Based Workflows: A Semantic Approach to Atomistic Simulations for Mechanical and Thermodynamic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Knowledge‐based atomistic workflows are presented for mechanical and thermodynamic properties. By coupling modular simulations with ontology‐aligned metadata and provenance, Fe case studies on elastic behavior, defects, thermal properties, and Hall–Petch strengthening reveal how FAIR, queryable, and reusable simulation data can be generated. Mechanical
