Intrinsic Photoactive Star ZnPc–Poly(glutamate) Nanoplatforms for Multimodal Glioblastoma Therapy and Brain‐Targeted Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An intrinsic photoactive star‐shaped zinc phtalocyanine‐poly(L‐glutamic acid) (ZnPc‐PGA) nanoplatform for multimodal glioblastoma (GBM) therapy and brain‐targeted elivery. A ZnPc‐PGA‐based multifunctional theranostic nanocarrier platform enables image‐guided, multimodal GBM therapy. ZnPc‐PGA nanocarriers support the integration of fluorescence imaging,

Optimal trajectory design for interception and deflection of Near Earth Objects

open access: yes, 2010
Many asteroids and comets orbit the inner solar system; among them Near Earth Objects (NEOs) are those celestial bodies for which the orbit lies close, and sometimes crosses, the Earth's orbit.

Laser‐beam deflection measurements and modeling of pulsed laser ablation rate and near‐surface plume densities in vacuum [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Quantitative measurements of ablated material from the surface of polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) by 248‐nm excimer laser fluences up to 10 J/cm2 are performed by HeNe laser‐beam deflection in vacuum and by photoacoustic depth profiling in air.

Shock‐Assisted Flow Control System in Convergent‐Divergent Nozzle: A Numerical Study on Unconventional Protuberance With Different Geometry

open access: yesEngineering Reports
Thrust Vector Control (TVC) serves as a vital means of flight control, particularly applicable during the initial launch stages or when navigating through rarefied atmospheres.

Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

Determination of the influence of deflections in the thickness of a composite material on its physical and mechanical properties with a local damage to its wholeness

open access: yesEastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies, 2019
In the period of technological preparation and initial stages of development in the mass production of composite products, there is a fairly large number and variety of technological defects. The rate of these defects often exceeds the permissible requirements of design documentation and therefore results in faulty products.

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.

On testing laser ablation processes for asteroid deflection

open access: yes, 2011
Asteroids represent both an opportunity and a risk. Their pristine environment captures the early formation of the solar system; while their impact potential could result in the mass extinction of life.
