Deformation Analysis of Embankments
Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, 1993Settlement and stability are the primary geotechnical considerations in the design of embankments founded on soft clay. Settlements are inevitably associated with lateral deformations. Lateral flow in turn is an indirect measure of the stability of embankments.

Analysis of deformed YBa2Cu3O7??
Journal of Materials Science, 1990In this study, polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7−δ (123) was deformed under controlled conditions with a confining pressure of 1.0GPa, temperatures of 25, 500 and 800° C, and a strain rate of 10−4 sec−1 in order to ascertain the micromechanisms of deformation that give rise to the macroscopic plastic behaviour. The deformed material was analysed using optical

Cold forging deformation analysis for stainless material using DEFORM
2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management (IEEM), 2015This paper proposes cold heading and piecing which is quite complicated process. The study is based on defor7mation simulation and compared the parameters of production processes to factory. DEFORM is used to run the simulation in the case of piecing and heading stainless steel. Effective simulation result is founded by 720th stokes.

The analysis of deformed belemnites
Journal of Structural Geology, 1979Deformed belemnites are important strain markers because they allow calculation of actual length changes in deformed rocks. They have been studied in the deformed Lower Lias sequence of part of the French Alps by measuring the orientation of about 100 belemnites at each locality, recording the amount of extension of as many as possible, and locating ...

Planning Analysis of Knee-Adjacent Deformities
European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, 2007The planning analysis of leg deformities around the knee joint is based on a standardized clinical examination and on long leg standing anteroposterior (AP) radiographs, which may be complemented by spot-film radiographs and stress radiographs. The principles of true-nominal analysis in six steps are used to characterize the deformity and plan the ...

Elasticity analysis of lung deformation problems
Annals of Biomedical Engineering, 1981In the characterization of stress-strain relationships for the lung using solid continuum-mechanics analysis, the lung parenchyma is assumed to be in a state of uniform expansion and nonhomogeneous deformations are considered from the uniform state. If the nonhomogeneous deformations are small, nonhomogeneous lung deformation problems are reduced to ...
