Investigation on the Deformation and Surface Quality of a Bearing Outer Ring during Grinding Processing

open access: yesMicromachines
Thin-walled bearings are widely used owing to the advantages of their light structure, high hardness, and strong load-carrying capacity. However, thin-walled bearings are often prone to deformation during the machining process, which can seriously affect

Retractions in Rheumatology: Trends, Causes, and Implications for Research Integrity

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to describe the trends and main reasons for study retraction in rheumatology literature. Methods We reviewed the Retraction Watch database to identify retracted articles in rheumatology. We recorded the main study characteristics, authors’ countries, reasons for retraction, time from publication to retraction, and trends over time ...

Low-Cycle Corrosion Fatigue Deformation Mechanism for an α+β Ti-6Al-4V-0.55Fe Alloy

open access: yesMetals
Titanium alloys with high strength and good corrosion resistance have become one of the critical bearing structural materials in marine engineering. But in service, corrosion fatigue would occur under the synergetic action of cyclic external load and ...

DEFORMED CONFORMAL AND SUPERSYMMETRIC QUANTUM MECHANICS [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 1992
Within the standard quantum mechanics a q-deformation of the simplest N=2 supersymmetry algebra is suggested. Resulting physical systems do not have conserved charges and degeneracies in the spectra. Instead, superpartner Hamiltonians are q-isospectral, i.e., the spectrum of one can be obtained from another (with possible exception of the lowest level)

Hot Deformation Behavior of Ti-3.5Al-5Mo-6V-3Cr-2Sn-0.5Fe Alloy in α + β Field

open access: yesMetals, 2015
The deformation behavior of Ti-3.5Al-5Mo-6V-3Cr-2Sn-0.5Fe high strength β titanium alloy is systematically investigated by isothermal compression in α + β field with the deformation temperatures ranging from 1003 K to 1078 K, the strain rates ranging ...

Cumulative Social Disadvantage and Disease Activity in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: A Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Social determinants of health (SDOH) contribute to juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) disparities, but most studies have assessed SDOH independently rather than cumulatively across individual, family, and neighborhood levels. Using a socioecological framework, we investigated the relationship among cumulative social disadvantage ...

Intracrystalline deformation of calcite

open access: yes, 1991
It is well established from observations on natural calcite tectonites that intracrystalline plastic mechanisms are important during the deformation of calcite rocks in nature.

Interfacial microstructure and deformation mechanism of Ti-steel clad plate under high strain rate

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2017
Under high-strain-rate conditions, Ti and steel in Ti-steel clad plate deformed, with the deformation compatibility mechanism playing a key role at the bonding interface.

Deformation mechanisms of naturally deformed rocksalt

open access: yes, 2007
This thesis presents an analysis of deformation and recrystallization processes in a variety of naturally deformed rocksalt. Tools used for the analysis involve simple microtectonic methods: transmitted and reflected light microscopy of gamma-irradiated thin sections and orientation measurements with EBSD.
