Structural Health Monitoring, 2020
For structural health monitoring, estimating the external load is a typical ill-posed problem but significant. Because with the external force and the structural finite element model, any required response can be calculated, which is advantageous for ...

RECONSTRUCTION OF INTRINSIC HAND DEFORMITIES
Hand Clinics, 1998Intrinsic muscle contractures are a frequently overlooked cause of hand dysfunction. Tightness of these muscles may occur despite appropriate management. This article addresses the evaluation and treatment of these contractures.

RECONSTRUCTION OF BURN-SCAR DEFORMITY
Archives of Surgery, 1953MODERN methods of treating severe burns have greatly reduced the incidence of serious scar deformities. With the advent of the antibiotics in the control of infection and the development of techniques for early and successful skin grafting, residual impairment should be less than in former years.

Sideburn Reconstruction for Postrhytidectomy Deformity
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1984A posteriorly based random-pattern scalp flap is described for the correction of sideburn and temporal alopecia. The procedure can be readily incorporated into a coronal lift operation.

Strain - deformation reconstruction of CFRP laminates based on Ko displacement theory
, 2020The deformation of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (hereafter referred to as CFRP) will affect the reliability and safety of products when it is applied in the fields of aeronautics & astronautics and military, and it can provide a basis for assessing ...

Deformation Reconstruction for a Heavy-Duty Machine Column Through the Inverse Finite Element Method
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2020The processing errors for columns of heavy-duty machine tools are affected by deformation induced by a variety of force loads and thermal loads. In general, error reduction usually uses method of error compensation.

Chronic boutonniere deformity—An anatomic reconstruction.
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1981Restoration of motion and appearance of the chronic boutonniere deformity is often accomplished by splinting. If the deformity persists following appropriate splinting, and if a full passive range of motion of the proximal interphalangeal joint is present, surgery may be recommended.

Reconstruction of Traumatic Ear Deformities
Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 1978Post-traumatic auricular deformity is a unique and varied problem that taxes the ingenuity of the plastic surgeon. Case individualization is repeatedly demanded and a systematic assessment of the residual tissue is requisite to planning an appropriate reconstruction.

B-Deformable Superquadrics for 3D Reconstruction
1995Summary: We propose a new model for 3D representation and reconstruction. It is based on deformable superquadrics and on parametric \(B\)-splines. Our method for 3D deformation uses \(B\)-splines instead of the finite element method. This new model takes advantages of \(B\)-splines local properties.

Reconstruction of congenital and acquired earlobe deformity
Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 2002The appearance and symmetry of the auricle is crucial for the maintenance of facial cosmetic harmony. The earlobe is considered to be an important attribute of beauty in most cultures, and earlobe decoration with color or earring is a common practice in many societies.
