Helmet Treatment of Infants With Deformational Brachycephaly
Deformation of the cranium in infancy represents a spectrum of deformity, ranging from severe asymmetric yet proportional distortion of the skull in plagiocephaly, to nearly symmetric yet disproportional distortion in brachycephaly.

(1) Background: anthropometric measurements with calipers are used to objectify cranial asymmetry in positional plagiocephaly but there is controversy regarding the reliability of different methodologies. Purpose: to analyze the interrater and intrarater

Frontofacial Features of Unilateral Lambdoid Craniosynostosis: A Multicenter Assessment
Background:. Unilateral lambdoid craniosynostosis is differentiated from deformational plagiocephaly primarily by assessing the cranium from posterior and bird’s-eye views.

Neurologic Findings in Infants With Deformational Plagiocephaly [PDF]
This study evaluates the neurologic profiles of infants with deformational plagiocephaly. Forty-nine infants with deformational plagiocephaly between the ages of 4 and 13 months (mean age, 8.1 months) are evaluated, along with 50 age-matched control subjects (mean age, 8.1 months).

Nonsurgical Treatment of Deformational Plagiocephaly [PDF]
To evaluate and summarize the evidence comparing nonsurgical therapies in the treatment of infants with deformational plagiocephaly.Scientific articles and abstracts published in English between January 1978 and August 2007 were searched from 5 online literature databases, along with a manual search of conference proceedings.Studies were selected and ...

Expanding the Phenotypic Spectrum of Degcags Syndrome: Novel Craniofacial and Oral Findings
ABSTRACT Aims: Developmental delay with gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, genitourinary, and skeletal abnormalities (DEGCAGS) syndrome (OMIM #619488) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by pathogenic variants in ZNF699 and characterized by developmental delay and multisystem involvement.

This work overcomes Poisson's ratio limitations in piezoresistive sensors via strain‐adaptive liquid metal (LM) interfaces. EGaIn‐coated TPU scaffolds enable directional LM flow to fill microcracks under deformation, achieving ultra‐high sensitivity (693.65 kPa-1).

Validating the Accuracy of the ‘Measurement of Baby's Head Shape™’ Mobile Application
In Japan, positional cranial deformities (PCD) have received limited attention. At present, objective evaluation of the severity of cranial deformity requires specialized equipment and software that are not suitable for screening. The ‘Measurement of a baby's head shape™’ (Japan Medical Company) application quantifies plagiocephaly and brachycephaly ...
