q-Deformed and c-Deformed Harmonic Oscillators [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 2003
Summary: Hamilton functions of classical deformed oscillators (\(c\)-deformed oscillators) are derived from Hamiltonians of \(q\)-deformed oscillators of the Macfarlane and Dubna types. A new scale parameter, \(l_q\), with the dimension of length, is introduced to relate a dimensionless parameter characterizing the deformation with the natural length ...

Classifying deformable and non-deformable video objects [PDF]

open access: yes7th International Conference on Imaging for Crime Detection and Prevention (ICDP 2016), 2016
This paper presents a fully automated approach to classifying deformable and non-deformable moving objects in a video surveillance scene. We estimate an object's motion using Marzat optical-flow algorithm. We filter the motion vectors and attempt to find the transformation that represents the correct mapping between the two positions.

Deformations of functions and F-manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We study deformations of functions on isolated singularities. A unified proof of the equality of Milnor and Tjurina numbers for functions on isolated complete intersections singularities and space curves is given.

Elastic properties of liquid crystals [PDF]

open access: yesBiuletyn Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej, 2023
The paper presents elastic properties of liquid crystals, especially their nematic phase. Anoutline of a development of theories describing these properties is given. The model describing liquidcrystal as continuous medium is formulated.

Isomorphism problems of noncommutative deformations of type $D$ Kleinian singularities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We construct all possible noncommutative deformations of a Kleinian singularity ${\mathbb C}^2/\Gamma$ of type $D_n$ in terms of generators and relations, and solve the isomorphism problem for the associative algebras thus constructed.

Finite Element Mesh Size Effect on Deformation Predictions of Reinforced Concrete Bridge Girder

open access: yesThe Baltic Journal of Road and Bridge Engineering, 2010
Present research was dedicated to investigation of finite element size effect on deformation predictions of reinforced concrete bending members. Experimental beams have been modelled by commercial finite element software ATENA, using two main approaches ...

DAM MOVEMENT MODELING BY USING MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSION AND ARIMA MODELS [PDF]

open access: yesGeodetski Glasnik, 2020
Structural health monitoring of the large infrastructural objects (high buildings, bridges, tunnels, dams, etc.) is in the domain of civil and geodetic engineers who use different methods and instruments for this task.

Rieffel's Deformation Quantization and Isospectral Deformations [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Theoretical Physics, 2001
We demonstrate the relation between the isospectral deformation and Rieffel's deformation quantization by the action of $\mathbb{R}^d$.

Nonlocal charges from marginal deformations of 2D CFTs: Holographic TT¯ & TJ¯, and Yang-Baxter deformations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper we study generic features of nonlocal charges obtained from marginal deformations of Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten models. Using free-field representations of CFTs based on simply laced Lie algebras, one can use simple arguments to build the ...

Shape manipulation using physically based wire deformations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper develops an efficient, physically based shape manipulation technique. It defines a 3D model with profile curves, and uses spine curves generated from the profile curves to control the motion and global shape of 3D models.
