ARAPLBS: Robust and Efficient Elasticity‐Based Optimization of Weights and Skeleton Joints for Linear Blend Skinning with Parametrized Bones [PDF]
We present a fast, robust and high‐quality technique to skin a mesh with reference to a skeleton. We consider the space of possible skeleton deformations (based on skeletal constraints, or skeletal animations), and compute skinning weights based on an ...

We describe 8 children with 'windswept deformity'--a valgus deformity of 1 knee in association with a varus deformity of the other. The disease is a physeal osteochondrosis and conservative treatment with serial corrective plaster casts is as effective as corrective osteotomies.

Study on the deformations of the lamina cribrosa during glaucoma [PDF]
The lamina cribrosa is the primary site of optic nerve injury during glaucoma and its deformations induced by elevated intraocular pressure are associated directly with the optic nerve injury and visual field defect.

Buckling of stepped thickness plates in the theory of plasticity [PDF]
The problem of buckling has been treated for a long time as a single rectangular field with different boundary conditions loaded with inplate loads and usually applying Levy method, when two opposite edges were always simply supported.

Burials at a Gravesite in Shirak Valley (Armenia): A Biological and Social Approach
A comparative paleopathological study was conducted in order to discern the general health and way of life of these populations. All the skeletal remains are dated to late antiquity (213 individuals in total, from 6 osteoarchaeological series in the ...

Deformation Grammars: Hierarchical Constraint Preservation Under Deformation [PDF]
Deformation grammars are a novel procedural framework enabling to sculpt hierarchical 3D models in an object‐dependent manner. They process object deformations as symbols thanks to user‐defined interpretation rules.

Closed system of coupling effects in generalized thermo-elastoplasticity
In this paper, the field equations of the generalized coupled thermoplasticity theory are derived using the postulates of classical thermodynamics of irreversible processses. Using the Legendre transformations two new thermodynamics potentials P and S

Summary: In this article we introduce the so called \(p\)-deformed algebra \(\mathcal{V}\). The notion of \(p\)-deformation is connected to the well-known \(q\)-deformation by the simple relation \(p = \frac{q^2+q^{-2}}{2}\). Thus the \(p\)-deformed algebra \(\mathcal{V}\) will have representations in terms of \(q\)-difference operators.
