NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Bipartite field theories and D-brane instantons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We study D-brane instantons in systems of D3-branes at toric CY 3-fold singularities. The instanton effect can be described as a backreaction modifying the geometry of the mirror configuration, in which the breaking of U(1) symmetries by the instanton ...

Deformation theory of singular symplectic n-folds [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Annalen, 2001
The notion of a holomorphically symplectic manifold can be generalized to the singular one. This paper studies the birational contraction maps between symplectic varieties, and then describes the deformation of a symplectic variety which has a symplectic resolution. Some examples are also included.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Deformations, moduli stabilisation and gauge couplings at one-loop

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We investigate deformations of ℤ 2 $$ {\mathrm{\mathbb{Z}}}_2 $$ orbifold singularities on the toroidal orbifold T 6 / ℤ 2 × ℤ 6 $$ {T}^6/\left({\mathrm{\mathbb{Z}}}_2\times {\mathrm{\mathbb{Z}}}_6\right) $$ with discrete torsion in the framework of Type

Unlocking Ultra‐Long Cycle Stability of Li Metal Electrode by Separators Modified by Porous Red Phosphorus Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Coating the standard polypropylene separator with a porous red phosphorous nanosheet greatly improves cycling performance in Li electrode cells. The phosphorus‐based surface chemistry deactivates electrolyte solvent decomposition and enhances the cleavage of F‐containing salt, resulting in an inorganic‐dominated electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition

Nonlinear finite element analysis of continuous welded rail–bridge interaction: monitoring-based calibration

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2018
Continuous welded rail is of high interest to operators of railway infrastructure facilities because of the reduced maintenance work and better train driving dynamics it offers. However, the application of continuous welded rail, in particular associated

Deformation Theory of Periodic Monopoles (With Singularities) [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2015
We show that for generic choices of parameters the moduli spaces of periodic monopoles (with singularities), i.e. monopoles on $\mathbb{R}^{2} \times \mathbb{S}^{1}$ possibly singular at a finite collection of points, are either empty or smooth hyperk hler manifolds.

Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.
