Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Sharp forced waves of degenerate diffusion equations in shifting environments
This article is concerned with the sharp forced waves for degenerate diffusion equations in a shifting environment. The degeneracy of diffusion usually causes the forced waves to become sharp.

Dynamic properties of a discrete population model with diffusion
We study the dynamical properties of a discrete population model with diffusion. We survey the transcritical, pitchfork, and flip bifurcations of nonhyperbolic fixed points by using the center manifold theorem.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Martingale representation for degenerate diffusions [PDF]
Let $(W,H, )$ be the classical Wiener space on $\R^d$. Assume that $X=(X_t)$ is a diffusion process satisfying the stochastic differential equation $dX_t= (t,X)dB_t+b(t,X)dt$, where $ :[0,1]\times C([0,1],\R^n)\to \R^n\otimes \R^d$, $b:[0,1]\times C([0,1],\R^n)\to \R^n$, $B$ is an $\R^d$-valued Brownian motion. We suppose that the weak uniqueness of

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

On a hyperbolic Keller-Segel system with degenerate nonlinear fractional diffusion
We investigate a Keller-Segel model with quorum sensing anda fractional diffusion operator. This model describes thecollective cell movement due to chemical sensing with fluxlimitation for high cell densities and with anomalous mediarepresented by a ...

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Thermal Energy Diffusion Incorporating Generalized Einstein Relation for Degenerate Semiconductors
The currently used generalized Einstein relation for degenerate semiconductors with isotropic nonparabolic energy bands produces physically improper results, as well as losing numerical accuracy for large values of nonparabolicity parameters at room ...
