Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Enhanced phase and charge diffusion due to radio-frequency/microwave excitation in Bloch transistors
Current-voltage characteristics and switching current of Bloch transistors under radio-frequency/microwave excitations were experimental studied, respectively revealing pronounced summational superconducting phase diffusion and central-island charge ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The uniqueness of a nonlinear diffusion equation related to the p-Laplacian
Consider a nonlinear diffusion equation related to the p-Laplacian. Different from the usual evolutionary p-Laplacian equation, the equation is degenerate on the boundary due to the fact that the diffusion coefficient is dependent on the distance ...

Degenerate Drift–Diffusion Systems for Memristors
A system of degenerate drift-diffusion equations for the electron, hole, and oxygen vacancy densities, coupled to the Poisson equation for the electric potential, is analyzed in a three-dimensional bounded domain with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

Viscosity solutions to degenerate diffusion problems
This paper concerns the weak solutions to a Cauchy problem in $R^N$ for a degenerate nonlinear parabolic equation. We obtain the Holder regularity of the weak solutions to this problem.

Molecular determinants of signal transduction in tropomyosin receptor kinases
Tropomyosin receptor kinases control critical neuronal functions, but how do the same receptors produce diverse cellular responses? This review explores the structural mechanisms behind Trk signaling diversity, focusing on allosteric modulation and ligand bias.

Autophagosome marker, LC3, is released extracellularly via several distinct pathways
This study establishes a novel HiBiT‐tagging system for ultrasensitive detection of LC3, revealing multiple pathways for its extracellular secretion. It demonstrates that LC3 is released via both autophagy‐dependent and ‐independent mechanisms, including a novel route for nonlipidated LC3‐I.
