A Class Of Elliptic Equations with Interior Degeneration

A class of linear degenerate elliptic equations inspired by nonlinear diffusions of image processing is considered. It is characterized by an interior degeneration of the diffusion coefficient. It is shown that no particularly natural, unique interpretation of the equation is possible.

A Shear Thickening Colloidal Suspension Functioning via Progressive Impact Jamming with Persistent Lubrication Layer

An ionic liquid‐based shear‐thickening fluid (ILSTF) exhibits lubricated dynamics from strong shear thickening to impact‐triggered jamming. A persistent nanometric solvation layer around silica governs both the shear thickening saturation in rheology and jamming front propagation under dynamic impact compression.

Enhancement of Calcium Ion Permeation via Resonant Coupling of Ion and Terahertz Waves in Voltage Gated Calcium Channels

We introduce a novel, ion‐targeted strategy to enhance calcium permeation in voltage gated calcium channels. By directly driving the ions’ coherent collective motion via resonant coupling with a 1.65 THz field, we lower the inter‐site energy barrier, inducing a statistically significant enhancement of ion influx.
