Entropy formulation of degenerate parabolic equation with zero-flux boundary condition

open access: yes, 2013
19 pagesWe consider the general degenerate hyperbolic-parabolic equation: \begin{equation}\label{E}\tag{E} u_t+\div f(u)-\Delta\phi(u)=0 \mbox{ in } Q = (0,T)\times\Omega,\;\;\;\; T>0,\;\;\;\Omega\subset\mathbb R^N ; \end{equation} with initial condition

A Toolkit for Targeted Neuromodulation of Striatal Direct Pathway Neurons Rescues Parkinsonian Motor Deficits in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An adeno‐associated virus (AAV) toolkit enables selective anatomical and functional targeting of striatal D1‐MSNs through retrograde transduction. Enhanced capsids and engineered enhancers drive robust transgene expression across murine and primate models.

Pseudodifferential Phase-Space Dynamics for SU(1,1) Systems and Numerical Evaluation Using Oscillatory Integrals

open access: yesMathematics
We study the phase-space dynamics of quantum systems with SU(1,1) group symmetry using coherent-state representations on the Poincaré disk. The resulting evolution equation combines transport terms with nonlocal contributions generated with the spectral ...

Mitochondrial Dysfunction Unravels the Potential Molecular Link Between Night Shift Work‐Related Circadian Disruption and Elevated Blood Pressure in Human and Mouse Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

Global Existence, General Decay, and Blow Up of the Solution to the Coupled p-Biharmonic Equation of Hyperbolic Type with Degenerate Damping Terms

open access: yesMathematics
In this work, we study a nonlinear system of p-Biharmonic hyperbolic equations with degenerate damping and source terms in a bounded domain. Under appropriate assumptions on the initial data and the damping terms, we establish the global existence of ...

Full‐Body AI Agent: A Perspective on Multi‐Scale Collaborative AI for Systemic Biology and Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose the Full‐Body AI Agent, a multi‐scale collaborative framework with 7 biological‐layer agents. It unifies multi‐omics/clinical data via standardized protocols, enabling phenotype‐guided closed‐loop reasoning, quantitative evaluation, and LLM safeguards, with promising applications in tumor metastasis modeling and precision drug development ...

Первая краевая задача для модельного уравнения параболо-гиперболического типа третьего порядка

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki
В 1978 году в журнале «Дифференциальные уравнения» была опубликована статья А.М. Нахушева, где дана методика правильной постановки краевой задачи для класса уравнений параболо-гиперболического типа второго порядка в произвольной ограниченной области Ω с ...

Corals and Reef‐Dwelling Fish Regulate Carbon Storage and Cycling Processes in Coral Reef Ecosystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coral reefs are biodiversity hotspots, yet their role in carbon storage and cycling remains poorly understood. Using field surveys and modeling in the South China Sea, we reveal the overlooked potential of carbon storage in reef ecosystems and how reef fish, corals, and surface sediment jointly shape reef carbon reservoirs.

Two Routes to Land: Genomic Underpinnings of Parallel Aerial Egg Deposition in Aquatic Old‐World Pila and New‐World Pomacea (Ampullariidae)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

Asymptotic Analysis for Hyperbolic Equation with Neumann Condition

open access: yes, 2010
The second-order hyperbolic equation with small parameter and Neumann con- dition is considered. This kind of problem loses the boundary conditions both in x = 0 and x = 1, while it also loses two initial boundary conditions in t = 0.
