3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Universal twinkling exponents for spectral fluctuations associated with mixed chaology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
For systems that are neither fully integrable nor fully chaotic, bifurcations of periodic orbits give rise to semiclassically emergent singularities in the fluctuating part Nfl of the energy-level counting function. The bifurcations dominate the spectral

Vacuum Formed Spherical Triboelectric Architecture Overcoming Direction Constraints for 3D‐Omnidirectional Ultrasonic Energy Receiving

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
First vacuum formed spherical triboelectric converter for 3D‐omnidirectional ultrasonic energy receiving, with configurable DC or pulse outputs for versatile applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasound‐driven triboelectric nanogenerators (UD‐TENGs) have emerged as promising ultrasonic energy converters for underwater and biomedical applications.

Dynamics of bright solitary matter-waves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This thesis describes the formation of a 85Rb Bose-Einstein condensate and the subsequent creation of a bright solitary matter-wave in a quasi-one-dimensional optical waveguide, with experiments investigating the dynamics of a solitary wave in comparison

Semiclassical relativistic fluid theory for ion-acoustic waves carrying orbital angular momentum in dense plasmas

open access: yesAIP Advances
In this investigation, we study the propagation characteristics of low-frequency ion-acoustic waves carrying finite orbital angular momentum (OAM) in a uniform, dense plasma consisting of inertialess, relativistic, degenerate electrons and classical ...

Mechanoluminescent HOF Nanotransducers Enabled Sono‐Optogenetics in Parkinsonian Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a mechanoluminescent system utilizing porous hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) as a toolkit for focused ultrasound‐triggered, non‐invasive light delivery to the deep brain in rats. This approach enables the specific activation of PV‐GPe neurons in dopamine‐depleted Parkinson's disease rat models, resulting in a comparable alleviation

Boundary null controllability of degenerate wave equation as the limit of internal controllability

open access: yes, 2023
This work is concerned with the possibility of proving the boundary null controllability for the degenerate wave equation, developing the asymptotic analysis of a suitable family of state-control pairs $((u_\varepsilon , v_\varepsilon))_{\varepsilon >0}$,

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

The interaction of low-frequency ion-acoustic structures in relativistic degenerate plasmas: Insights from the KdV equation and the Wronskian technique

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control
In this investigation, the nonlinear low-frequency ion-acoustic waves (IAWs) are examined in a fully relativistic, partially degenerate plasma in the presence of electron trapping in dense astrophysical environments such as white dwarfs.

Unraveling MXene Oxidation Mechanisms Under Realistic Gas Environments by In Situ Gas‐Cell TEM

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Real‐time visualization of MXene degradation reveals a fundamental oxidation mechanism under oxygen and moisture environments. Using in situ gas‐cell electron microscopy, this study demonstrates that oxygen degradation drives a thermodynamically controlled high‐temperature transformation into mixed rutile/anatase phases.
