Degree of coherence for electromagnetic fields
The relationship between the visibility of fringes and the degree of spatial coherence in electromagnetic two-pinhole interference is assessed. It is demonstrated that the customary definition of the degree of coherence of an electromagnetic field is flawed and a new quantity, free of the formal drawbacks, is introduced.

Coherence of vortex pseudo-Bessel beams in turbulent atmosphere [PDF]
Theoretical research of coherent properties of vortex conic waves propagating in a turbulent atmosphere was developed. The analysis was based on the analytical solution of the equation for the transverse second-order mutual coherence function of a light ...

Coherence, purity and correlation for superconducting charge qubits
In a model consisting of two superconducting charge qubits (SC-Qs), we study how the Josephson energy (JE) and temperature have an influence on the coherence, the degree of mixedness, and the nonclassical correlation.

Random pulse source with the temporal multi-complex degree of coherence
Based on the coherence theory, the non-stationary optical fields with the complex degree of coherence (CDOC) are expanded from stationary fields, and random pulse sources with temporal multi-complex degree of coherence (TMCDOC) is introduced. Theoretical
