Exposure degree of broilers to ochratoxin A through naturally contaminated feed
Journal of Food Safety, 2016AbstractThe degree of exposure of broilers to ochratoxin A (OTA) in naturally contaminated feed and the hygienic quality of feeds were evaluated. Thus, total fungal count and OTA occurrence were evaluated in four feed types (pre‐starter, starter, grower and finisher) intended for broilers from a poultry breeding farm in Paraná State, Brazil.

Bacterial contamination of platelet concentrates stored at 20 degrees C.
Journal of clinical pathology, 1973Qualitative and quantitative data on the bacterial contamination of 1000 platelet concentrates prepared and stored at 20 degrees C are presented. Using cooked meat medium the incidence of contamination was 6.3%. However, nutrient agar platelet counts showed the concentration of bacteria to be low. The clinical significance of these results is discussed.
