Molecular Dynamics‐Guided Sterol Engineering of mRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticles Reprograms Biodistribution and Enhances Spleen‐Selective Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sterol engineering enables precise control of mRNA lipid nanoparticles by tuning membrane organization. Replacing cholesterol with bile acid‐derived sterols redirects protein expression from the liver to the spleen. Notably, CA‐20 LNP enhances antigen‐specific immune responses while exhibiting a favorable safety profile, highlighting sterols as a ...

Pectins mitigate Candidalysin-induced gut barrier disruption and inflammation in vitro in a degree of methyl-esterification-dependent manner

open access: yesFood Hydrocolloids for Health
Pectin, a dietary fiber, exhibits anti-inflammatory properties influenced by its degree of methyl-esterification (DM). Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by chronic inflammation due to a compromised epithelial barrier, dysregulated ...

Nanovesicles With Mechanically Induced Adjuvanticity for Robust Melanoma Vaccination Toward Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rigidity‐tunable nanovesicle (P‐Pm) with mechanically induced adjuvanticity toward tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) was designed to engineer R848/gp100 antigen ‐loaded nanovaccine (P@Rg‐Pm), which achieved outstanding anti‐tumor outcomes in both therapeutic and preventive model of B16‐F10 melanoma.

CLRe: A Synergistic Dual‐Engine Framework for One‐Step Retrosynthesis Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CLRe uses a contrastive difficulty score to order pretrained seq2seq fine‐tuning for retrosynthesis. Reaction embeddings define the ranking score, and a cumulative easy‐to‐hard schedule expands from the easiest subset to the full training set while earlier examples remain active.

Esterification of Nanofibrillated Cellulose using Lauroyl Chloride and its Composite Films with Polybutylene Succinate

open access: yesBioResources, 2023
Esterified nanofibrillated cellulose (eNFC) with varying degrees of substitution was prepared using fatty acid chloride. Furthermore, the effect of esterification on properties of pure NFC and its composites with polybutylene succinate (PBS) was ...

Reorganization of Innate Immune Cell Lipid Profiles by Bioinspired Meroterpenoids to Limit Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Resolution pharmacology is an emerging strategy to tackle inflammatory pathologies. Bioinspired meroterpenoids induce a lipid mediator class switch toward inflammation resolution in vitro and in vivo by targeting key nodes in lipid mediator biosynthesis and neutral lipid dynamics.

Chemical and instrumental characterization of pectin from dried pomace of eleven apple cultivars = Caracterização química e instrumental de pectinas isoladas de bagaço de 11 cultivares de maçã

open access: yesActa Scientiarum. Agronomy, 2011
Pectic substances from eleven samples of dried apple pomace were extracted using an acid procedure (100 mM HNO3, 10 min., 80ºC), dried, ground and stored in a P2O5 atmosphere.

Influence and Kinetic Study of Mango Peel Pectin with Different Esterification Degrees on the Stability of Mango Juice

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
Pectin was extracted from the peels of Tainong No.1 mango via ultrasound-assisted acid hydrolysis, and four types of pectins with different degrees of esterification (DE) were prepared by alkaline deesterification, namely DEMP1, DEMP2, DEMP3, and DEMP4 ...

Copper‐Doped Prussian Blue Nanozymes With Hyaluronic Acid‐Mediated Targeting Alleviate Oxidative Stress and Regulate Cholesterol Handling for Atherosclerosis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CuPB@HA is a CD44‐associated, plaque‐targeted nanozyme that alleviates oxidative stress, inflammation, and lipid accumulation in macrophages. By reducing CD36‐dependent lipid uptake and promoting ABCA1/ABCG1‐mediated cholesterol handling, it improves macrophage function, preferentially accumulates in atherosclerotic lesions, reduces plaque burden, and ...

Toward Material‐Specific Peptides From in Silico Guided Peptide Engineering to Target PET in the Presence of PS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a computational–experimental strategy to engineer material‐binding peptides toward polymer specificity. Molecular dynamics simulations identified residues driving polystyrene binding, enabling targeted substitutions that greatly reduced polystyrene affinity while preserving PET binding.
