Degree of Hybridization Modeling of a Fuel Cell Hybrid Electric Sport Utility Vehicle
<div class="htmlview paragraph">An ADVISOR model of a large sport utility vehicle with a fuel cell / battery hybrid electric drivetrain is developed using validated component models. The vehicle mass, electric traction drive, and total net power available from fuel cells plus batteries are held fixed.

Conformational Flexibility Influences Degree of Hydration of Nucleic Acid Hybrids
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2011Four nucleic acid duplexes-DNA/RNA hybrid, RNA/DNA hybrid, RNA duplex, and DNA duplex-were studied under molecular crowding conditions of osmolytes. Destabilization of duplexes (ΔΔG°(25)) indicated that the ΔΔG°(25) values of hybrids were intermediate between those of DNA and RNA duplexes. In the presence of polyethylene glycol 200, the ΔΔG°(25) values

Examining the Development of a Hybrid Degree Program
Journal of Research on Technology in Education, 2007AbstractThis paper investigates the questions and considerations that should be discussed by administrators, faculty, and support staff when designing, developing and offering a hybrid (part online, part face-to-face) degree program. Using two Web questionnaires, data were gathered from nine instructors and approximately 450 students to evaluate ...

Hybrid interferometer for control of three degrees of freedom
Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements. Conference Digest. CPEM 2000 (Cat. No.00CH37031), 2002We describe a quadruple Michelson heterodyne interferometer for measuring longitudinal displacement, pitch, and yaw of a target mirror relative to a stationary one. A Fabry-Perot interferometer provides independent control of systematic errors.

Degree of Approximation by Certain Genuine Hybrid Operators
2015This paper is in continuation of our work on certain genuine hybrid operators in (Positivity (Under review)) [3]. First, we discuss some direct results in simultaneous approximation by these operators, e.g. pointwise convergence theorem, Voronovskaja-type theorem and an error estimate in terms of the modulus of continuity. Next, we estimate the rate of

A triangular hybrid equilibrium plate element of general degree
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2005Summary: Hybrid stress-based finite elements with side displacement fields have been used to generate equilibrium models having the property of equilibrium in a strong form. This paper establishes the static and kinematic characteristics of a flat triangular hybrid equilibrium element with both membrane and plate bending actions of general polynomial ...
