A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Energy distribution of maxima and minima in a one-dimensional random system

open access: yes, 1998
We study the energy distribution of maxima and minima of a simple one-dimensional disordered Hamiltonian. We find that in systems with short range correlated disorder there is energy separation between maxima and minima, such that at fixed energy only ...

Lattice-Based proof of a shuffle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper we present the first fully post-quantum proof of a shuffle for RLWE encryption schemes. Shuffles are commonly used to construct mixing networks (mix-nets), a key element to ensure anonymity in many applications such as electronic voting ...

A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...

Short term summer to autumn variability of dissolved lipid classes in the Ligurian sea (NW Mediterranean) [PDF]

open access: yesBiogeosciences, 2009
Changes in concentration and composition of Iatroscan-measured dissolved lipids were examined at a daily to month scale, in relation to the hydrological and biological context at a central site of the Ligurian sea, NW Mediterranean during the PECHE ...

Building Damage-Resilient Dominating Sets in Complex Networks against Random and Targeted Attacks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the vulnerability of dominating sets against random and targeted node removals in complex networks. While small, cost-efficient dominating sets play a significant role in controllability and observability of these networks, a fixed and intact ...

Developmentally Inspired, Mechanical–Metabolic Dual Gradient Osteochondral Constructs Bridging Regeneration and Therapeutic Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A developmentally inspired osteochondral construct integrates mechanical and metabolic dual gradients within a 3D‐printed platform. Human MSC spheroids are spatially directed to form cartilage–bone interfaces, enabling evaluation of regeneration without biochemical reagents and assessment of drug responses. This physiologically relevant, phase‐specific

Controlling discrete quantum walks: coins and intitial states

open access: yes, 2003
In discrete time, coined quantum walks, the coin degrees of freedom offer the potential for a wider range of controls over the evolution of the walk than are available in the continuous time quantum walk.

Integrating Automated Electrochemistry and High‐Throughput Characterization with Machine Learning to Explore Si─Ge─Sn Thin‐Film Lithium Battery Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A closed‐loop, data‐driven approach facilitates the exploration of high‐performance Si─Ge─Sn alloys as promising fast‐charging battery anodes. Autonomous electrochemical experimentation using a scanning droplet cell is combined with real‐time optimization to efficiently navigate composition space.
