Highly robust multiple frequency shift Chirp modulation for time-frequency dual-selected channels

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
Aiming at the problem of signal demodulation performance degradation caused by time delay and Doppler shift in ionospheric time-frequency dual-selected channels, a highly robust multiple frequency shift chirp modulation (RO-M-FSCM) method based on linear

Diverse Genetic Etiologies of Unilateral Polymicrogyria

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, Volume 99, Issue 5, Page 1277-1286, May 2026.
Objective Polymicrogyria (PMG) is one of the most common human malformations of cortical development and is often classified by its radiographic pattern of distribution. Unilateral polymicrogyria (uPMG) is a subtype of PMG affecting a portion or all of one cerebral hemisphere.

Early Detection of Acute and Early‐Onset Cancer Therapy‐Related Cardiac Dysfunction in Children With Cancer Using a Multiparametric Approach: Methodological Aspects of the EARLY Study

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Cancer therapy‐related cardiac dysfunction (CTRCD) is among the most important adverse effects of treatment of childhood cancer. In the EARLY study (Early detection of acute and early‐onset cARdiovascuLar toxicity in children with cancer using a multiparametric approach), cardiac function in children treated for cancer was monitored

Intersecting Molecular Pathways in Cardiovascular Disease and Diabetes Mellitus: Emerging Roles of Inflammation and Therapeutics

open access: yesDiabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, Volume 42, Issue 4, May 2026.
Central illustration: Pathophysiological mechanisms linking diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. Chronic hyperglycaemia, insulin resistance, and low‐grade inflammation contribute to endothelial dysfunction, myocardial fibrosis, and cardiomyocyte apoptosis.

Adults With Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency Have Sustained Improvements in Clinical Outcomes With up to 5 Years of Olipudase Alfa Enzyme Replacement Therapy: ASCEND Trial Final Results

open access: yesJournal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 49, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Acid sphingomyelinase deficiency (ASMD) is a rare debilitating lysosomal storage disease resulting in multisystemic disease manifestations, significant disease burden, and early mortality for some individuals. Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) with olipudase alfa (Xenpozyme) is the first disease‐specific treatment indicated for noncentral ...

Deep Learning‐Based Skin Lesion Classification

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 5, Page 925-936, May 2026.
High‐frequency ultrasound (HFUS) is valuable for assessing skin lesions, supporting diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and surgical planning. This study evaluates deep learning models for binary classification of HFUS images acquired in B‐mode and Doppler mode.
