Stability of delayed CHIKV dynamics model with cell-to-cell transmission
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2019This paper investigates the global dynamics of Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infection model with antibody immune response. We incorporate two ways of transmissions CHIKV-to-cell and cell-to-cell. We incorporate three types of discrete time delays into the model.

Impact of cell cycle delay on micronucleus frequency in TK6 cells
Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis, 2013Previous studies with TK6 cells have shown that extending the recovery period after pulse treatment allows for greater micronucleus expression for some compounds. This study explores the role of cell cycle delay in micronucleus expression after pulse treatment with three model genotoxins [mitomycin C, etoposide (ETOP), vinblastine].

The Delayed Linkage of Heredity with the Cell Theory
2007The cell theory as the foundation of a systematic conception of organic units came to influence scientific views on heredity in a stepwise fashion.

Delay in the diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma
Clinical Otolaryngology, 1995Delay in diagnosis was recorded prospectively in 167 patients with an oral squamous cell carcinoma. The median total delay was 4 months of which two-thirds was patient delay. The corrected survival did not correlate with the total delay. The patient delay was not significantly correlated with tumour or patient factors and the unreliable nature of ...

A genetic time‐delay circuitry in mammalian cells
Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 2007AbstractGene expression circuitries with time‐delayed expression profiles regulate key events, such as oscillating systems, noise elimination, and coordinated multi‐step processes, in all organisms from bacteria to mammalian cells. We present the rational synthesis of a genetic circuit displaying time‐delayed expression in silico and in mammalian cells.

An analytical delay model for ReRAM memory cells
2017 27th International Symposium on Power and Timing Modeling, Optimization and Simulation (PATMOS), 2017In this paper, we present a simple analytical delay model for memristive memory cells. The output voltage evolution is obtained analyzing the charge-flux dynamics when a voltage ramp is applied to the input. From this evolution, the propagation delay is calculated.

Immunocompetent cells and delayed hypersensitivity reaction in sarcoidosis
Lung, 1981The blood monocyte and lymphocyte populations were studied in 18 patients with acute sarcoidosis and 10 normal subjects. The patients with sarcoidosis were divided in two groups according to their tuberculin sensitivity. Anergic patients (61%) showed fewer lymphocytes, particularly T lymphocytes, relatively more monocytes and an impaired response to ...

Robert Cell-Based Optical Delay Elements for White Cell True-Time Delay Devices
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2013A low-loss and compact optical delay element is devised to be integrated into existing White cell-based true-time delay systems. The delay element is based on a multiple-bounce cell that consists of simple optical components, which was initially described by Claude Robert for spectroscopy.

SSTA with Cell-to-Cell Delay Correlations
2010Statistical Static Timing Analysis (SSTA) is becoming necessary, but has not been widely adopted due to various weaknesses. In this paper, we address one of the challenging problems in SSTA: computation of correlations between cell delays. With the help of conditional moments, cell-to-cell and path-to-path delay correlations are computed by propagating

Delay and area optimization in standard-cell design
Conference proceedings on 27th ACM/IEEE design automation conference - DAC '90, 1990A heuristic approach to the optimal selection of standard cells in VLSI circuit design is presented. A cell library is composed of several templates (3-5) for each type of cell. These templates differ in area, driving capabilities, intrinsic delay, and capacitive loading.
