Stochastic Nicholson-type delay differential system

International Journal of Control, 2019
Focusing on Nicholson-type delay differential system in random environments, we introduce the stochastic system to model the dynamics of Nicholson's blowflies population sizes with mortality rates ...

First-order representation of delay-differential systems

2001 European Control Conference (ECC), 2001
We show that a delay-differential system, i.e. a dynamical system that is defined by a set of equations involving differentiation and both punctual and distributed delays, can be written in a pseudo-state space form, called also first- order representation, which generalizes the state space form for purely differential systems and employs only first ...

State‐space realizations of delay‐differential systems

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 1998
AbstractDelay‐differential equations with commensurate point delays are considered in an input‐output‐setting. A criterion is given for the realizability of such a system as a first‐order time‐delay system.

Stabilization of linear, autonomous differential-delay systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1973
Sufficient conditions for a linear, autonomous differential delay system to be stabilizable are established. The proof is constructive in that a readily computable stabilizing feedback control law is generated.

Robust stability of neutral delay differential systems

Automatica, 1994
Abstract In this paper we consider the robust stability problem for a neutral delay-differential system where the characteristic equations involve a polytope of quasi-polynomials. First, the ‘Edge theorem’ is developed for robust stability analysis of a polytope of neutral quasi-polynomials.

Linear Delay Differential Systems

1977
Chapter IV exploited the nice properties of linear systems of ordinary differential equations. We shall now show how at least some of these properties carry over to linear systems of delay differential equations.

On the stability of delay-differential systems in the behavioral framework

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2001
Here, properties of the structure of delay-differential systems are studied. For such systems the notion of autonomy is introduced. Necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic and exponential stability of autonomous systems are presented.

Stability of delay-differential systems in the behavioral framework

Proceedings of the 2000 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.00CH36334), 2000
In the behavioral approach, a (linear time-invariant) delay-differential system is naturally introduced as a continuous-time system whose dynamics is governed by a set of delay-differential equations, involving both pointed and distributed delay operators.
