Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Synchronization between Bidirectional Coupled Nonautonomous Delayed Cohen-Grossberg Neural Networks

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
Based on using suitable Lyapunov function and the properties of M-matrix, sufficient conditions for complete synchronization of bidirectional coupled nonautonomous Cohen-Grossberg neural networks are obtained.

Global Mittag-Leffler synchronization of delayed fractional-order memristive neural networks

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
This paper deals with the global Mittag-Leffler synchronization of fractional-order memristive neural networks (FMNNs) with time delay. Since the FMNNs are essentially a class of switched systems with irregular switching laws, it is more difficult to ...

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Existence and exponential stability for anti-periodic solutions for shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with continuously distributed delays

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2009
This article concerns anti-periodic solutions for shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks (SICNNs), with continuously distributed delays, arising from the description of the neurons state in delayed neural networks.

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

Pinning Synchronization of Delayed Neural Networks with Nonlinear Inner-Coupling

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2011
Without assuming the symmetry and irreducibility of the outer-coupling weight configuration matrices, we investigate the pinning synchronization of delayed neural networks with nonlinear inner-coupling.

Comparing the Effect of Semi‐Immersive Virtual Reality, Computerized Cognitive Training, and Traditional Rehabilitation on Cognitive Function in Multiple Sclerosis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

Global stability of delayed Hopfield neural networks under dynamical thresholds

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2005
We study dynamical behavior of a class of cellular neural networks system with distributed delays under dynamical thresholds. By using topological degree theory and Lyapunov functions, some new criteria ensuring the existence, uniqueness, global ...

Synchronization of coupled neural oscillators with heterogeneous delays

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate the effects of heterogeneous delays in the coupling of two excitable neural systems. Depending upon the coupling strengths and the time delays in the mutual and self-coupling, the compound system exhibits different types of synchronized ...
