In free space optical (FSO) communication, acquisition, tracking and pointing (ATP) is the key technology to maintain a high-quality FSO link. Specifically, the detection of pointing angle deviation greatly affects the performance of ATP, especially ...

An Optimal Family of Exponentially Accurate One-Bit Sigma-Delta Quantization Schemes [PDF]
Sigma-Delta modulation is a popular method for analog-to-digital conversion of bandlimited signals that employs coarse quantization coupled with oversampling.

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.

HTS pulse-stretcher and second order modulator: design and first results [PDF]
One of the remaining challenges in the application of superconducting electronics is the interfacing between superconducting and semiconducting environments. The voltage and speed mismatch between RSFQ pulses and semiconducting read-out electronics makes

Delta-Sigma Modulator based multiplier
In this paper, a new technique is proposed for multiplication of two sampled low frequency analog signals and the result is in digital form. Out of the two signals, one signal is fed to the input of typical second order, ΔΣ Modulator (DSM). The operating period of the DSM circuit is varied directly in proportion to the absolute amplitude of the second ...

SIRT4 positively regulates autophagy via ULK1, but independently of HDAC6 and OPA1
Cells expressing SIRT4 (H161Y), a catalytically inactive mutant of the sirtuin SIRT4, fail to upregulate LC3B‐II and exhibit a reduced autophagic flux under stress conditions. Interestingly, SIRT4(H161Y) promotes phosphorylation of ULK1 at S638 and S758 that are associated with inhibition of autophagy initiation.

Optimum quantization of a class of non-bandlimited signals [PDF]
We consider the quantization of a special class of non bandlimited signals, namely the class of discrete time signals that can be recovered from their decimated version.
