Delta method, asymptotic distribution [PDF]
AbstractThe delta method for deriving asymptotic distributions is presented. Assume interest lies in where is an unknown parameter and is a known function. The delta method allows to immediately obtain an approximation of the distribution of the plug‐in estimator through the asymptotic distribution ofwheneverthe asymptotic distribution of is known and ...

A generalized functional delta method [PDF]
We develop a generalized functional delta method, where the considered random function is not multiplied by a scalar, but by another function. It bases on a generalized Hadamard differentiability between special function spaces. For a certain class of functions, we calculate the Hadamard differential explicitely.

Delta-based Verification of Software Product Families [PDF]
The quest for feature- and family-oriented deductive verification of software product lines resulted in several proposals. In this paper we look at delta-oriented modeling of product lines and combine two new ideas: first, we extend Hähnle & Schaefer’s ...

Epistemic Uncertainty Quantification in Deep Learning by the Delta Method [PDF]
This thesis explores the Delta method and its application to deep learning image classification. The Delta method is a classical procedure for quantifying uncertainty in statistical models, but its direct application to deep neural networks is prevented ...

Stability analysis of higher-order delta-sigma modulators using the describing function method [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to determine the stability of higher-order /spl Delta/-/spl Sigma/ modulators using the describing function method. The maximum stable input limits for third-, fourth- and fifth-order Chebyshev Type II based /spl Delta/-/spl ...

We give an asymptotic development of the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE), or any other estimator defined implicitly, in a way which involves the limiting behavior of the score and its higher-order derivatives. This development, which is explicitly computable, gives some insights about the non-asymptotic behavior of the renormalized MLE and its ...

Comparative study of the MASH digital delta-sigma modulators [PDF]
The paper focuses on the Multi-stAge noise SHaping (MASH) digital delta-sigma modulator (DDSM) that employs multi-moduli (MM-MASH). Different architectures of the MASH DDSM are compared.

Large Sample Comparison of Parameter Estimates in Gamma Raindrop Distributions
Raindrop size distributions have been characterized through the gamma family. Over the years, quite a few estimates of these gamma parameters have been proposed. The natural question for the practitioner, then, is what estimation procedure should be used.

An analytical method for q−fractional dynamical equations on time scales
In this paper, we introduce the delta q−Laplace transform on a time scale and investigate some of its properties. We discuss some important properties of fractional delta q−calculus. Then, based on these properties and the q−Laplace transform, we propose

Trace element contamination in the arms of the Danube Delta (Romania/Ukraine): Current state of knowledge and future needs [PDF]
This paper provides the first critical synopsis of contamination by selected trace elements in the whole Danube Delta (Romania/Ukraine) to: identify general patterns of contamination by trace elements across the Delta, provide recommendations to refine
