Sigma delta modulation of a chaotic signal [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Sigma delta modulation SDM has become a widespread method of analogue to digital conversion, however its operation has not been completely defined. The majority of the analysis carried out on the circuit has been from a linear standpoint, with non-linear

Transcription of GABAA receptor subunits in circulating monocytes and association to emotional brain function in premenstrual dysphoric disorder

open access: yesTranslational Psychiatry
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) has been hypothesized to be related to an altered sensitivity of the γ-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor to progesterone-derived neurosteroids.

Design Strategies and Emerging Applications of High‐Performance Flexible Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Mechanistic insights into cortical network entrainment by tACS and tDCS: A computational modeling approach

open access: yesBrain Research Bulletin
Non-invasive brain stimulation techniques such as transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) are increasingly explored for modulating large-scale brain oscillations associated with cognition ...

Adaptive delta modulation

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1969
An adaptive-delta-modulation system is described taking advantage of the storage of the line digit pattern in the holding register of a delayed-delta-modulation system, to produce a significant improvement in signal/quantisation-noise ratio.

Hydrogen‐Bond–Driven Ion Retention in Electrolyte‐Gated Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Anion molecular design governs ion–polymer interactions in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. Asymmetric anions induce hydrogen‐bond interactions that suppress ion back‐diffusion and stabilize doping, enabling enhanced nonvolatile synaptic properties.

Sliding mode control: the delta-sigma modulation approach

open access: yes, 2015
This monograph presents a novel method of sliding mode control for switch-regulated nonlinear systems. The Delta Sigma modulation approach allows one to implement a continuous control scheme using one or multiple, independent switches, thus effectively ...

Personalized Alpha-Motoneuron Pool Models Driven by Neural Data Encode the Mechanisms Controlling Rate of Force Development

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering
The central nervous system employs distinct motor control strategies depending on task demands. Accordingly, the activity of alpha-motoneuron (MN) pools innervating skeletal muscle fibers is modulated based on muscle force and rate of force development ...

Formation of Quasi‐Decoupling Interface on Li‐Metal Anodes in High Donor Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Li‐metal anode (LMA) is stabilized by introducing Li2Te2 as an electrolyte additive for Li‐metal batteries. Upon contact with Li, Li2Te2 spontaneously converts to Li2Te, which electronically isolates Li from dimethyl sulfoxide due to its large bandgap and minimal Bader charge transfer.

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance
