Parametric Analysis of Spiking Neurons in 16 nm Fin Field‐Effect Transistor Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Energy efficient computing has driven a shift toward brain‐inspired neuromorphic hardware. This study explores the design of three distinct silicon neuron topologies implemented in 16 nm fin field‐Effect transistor technology. While the Axon‐Hillock design achieves gigahertz throughput, its functional fragility persists. The Morris–Lecar model captures

Luteinizing hormone (LH)-responsive Cushing's syndrome: the demonstration of LH receptor messenger ribonucleic acid in hyperplastic adrenal cells, which respond to chorionic gonadotropin and serotonin agonists in vitro [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In a substantial part of adrenal adenomas and hyperplasias from patients with Cushing's syndrome, cortisol production is controlled by the expression of aberrant hormone receptors on adrenocortical cells.

Machine Learning‐Driven Digital Twin of a Field‐Effect Transistor‐Based Hormone Biosensor for Real‐Time Estradiol Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐driven digital twin simulates an aptamer‐functionalized BioFET measuring 17β‐estradiol. Real‐time Isd signals are processed, features are extracted, and trained models estimate hormone concentration. In parallel, a one‐step‐ahead forward model learns biosensor dynamics and generates realistic synthetic signals, enabling in silico ...

Worm‐Inspired Soft Robots With Modular Outfit‐Changing for Intelligent Multienvironment Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study proposes a worm‐inspired soft robot capable of locomotion across multiple environments through a modular “outfit‐changing” strategy. The robot integrates pneumatically actuated peristaltic segments with interchangeable external modules, enabling efficient motion on ground surfaces, within pipelines, through granular media, and underwater ...

[Circadian rhythms in urinary coproporphyrin and delta-aminolevulinic acid].

open access: yesAnnali dell'Istituto superiore di sanita, 1979
The circadian rythm concerning the excretion of urinary metabolites ALA and CP was investigated. More ALA and CP are excreted in the urine during the day than the night. This phenomenon is more evident with CP. The sampling of urine for biochemical control of saturnism is discussed and the sample collected after 24 h was chosen.

Time‐course characterization of intraocular pressure in murine steroid‐induced ocular hypertension: Effects of route, schedule, and concentration

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Steroid‐induced ocular hypertension is a useful mouse model for glaucoma, but published work rarely quantifies how route, dose, and schedule shape the intraocular pressure (IOP) time‐course—hindering reproducibility and forcing labs to pilot protocols.

Functional Segregation of Epileptogenicity within the Human Amygdala

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective In temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), the amygdala in the epileptogenic network is underestimated compared to other regions such as the hippocampus. Recent advances in anatomical neuroimaging and stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) signal analyses could help better understand the involvement of the different amygdala nuclei in the genesis of ...
