KIC 5623923: A Faint Eclipsing Binary Consisting of δ Scuti Pulsations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In this paper, we present a detailed analysis of the light variation of KIC 5623923 using high-precision time-series data from the Kepler mission. The analysis reveals this target is an eclipsing binary system with δ Scuti-type pulsations from the ...

KIC 8840638: A Newly Discovered Eclipsing Binary with δ Scuti–Type Oscillations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In this paper, we analyze the light variation of KIC 8840638 using high-precision time-series data from the Kepler mission. The analysis reveals that this target is a new detached eclipsing binary system with a δ Scuti component, rather than a single δ ...

Monoperiodic $\delta$ Scuti star UY Cam: an analogue of SX Phe and RR Lyr-type variables

open access: yes, 2003
We present the results of a four-year photometric study of the high-amplitude $\delta$ Scuti star (HADS) UY Camelopardalis. Analyses on the available data from 1985 to 2003 show that UY Cam is monoperiodic. Fourier solutions for individual data sets do not reveal period changes in the star. Although forced parabolic fits to the $O-C$ residuals indicate

The Rotation Properties of δ Sct and γ Dor Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Based on the LAMOST spectroscopy and TESS time-series photometry, we have obtained a main-sequence star sample of δ Scuti and γ Doradus stars. The sample includes 1534 δ Sct stars, 367 γ Dor stars, 1703 δ Sct ∣ γ Dor stars, 270 γ Dor ∣ δ Sct stars, along

Pixels, photometry, and population studies: variable stars across four years of Kepler data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this thesis, we focus on studies of variable stars across four years of data from NASA's Kepler mission. We present an analysis of oscillating red giants from which exhibit anomalous peaks in their amplitude spectra.

Precise Parameter Determination of the Open Cluster NGC 1647 via Asteroseismology of p-mode Pulsators

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Asteroseismology of member pulsators provides a robust physical constraint on cluster parameters by linking internal stellar structures to the global properties of the host cluster.

Discovery and Characterization of Three New High-amplitude δ Scuti Stars from TESS Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We report the discovery and detailed analysis of three new high-amplitude δ Scuti (HADS) stars, TIC 408074920, TIC 189714989, and TIC 34137913, identified from Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite short-cadence observations.

Minute-Cadence Observations of the LAMOST Fields with the TMTS V. Machine Learning Classification of TMTS Catalogues of Periodic Variable Stars [PDF]

open access: yes
Periodic variables are always of great scientific interest in astrophysics. Thanks to the rapid advancement of modern large-scale time-domain surveys, the number of reported variable stars has experienced substantial growth for several decades, which ...
