THE LOWER PART OF THE INSTABILITY STRIP: EVOLUTIONARY STATUS OF DELTA SCUTI STARS Y.Y. Liu [PDF]
The accurate determination of distances from Hipparcos allows to compare the position in the HR diagram of constant, known variable and chemically peculiar stars in the lower part of the instability strip, including the available new information on ...

The ASAS-SN catalogue of variable stars VI: an all-sky sample of δ Scuti stars [PDF]
ABSTRACT We characterize an all-sky catalogue of ∼8400 δ Scuti variables in ASAS-SN, which includes ∼3300 new discoveries. Using distances from Gaia DR2, we derive period–luminosity relationships for both the fundamental mode and overtone pulsators in the WJK, V, Gaia DR2 G, J, H, Ks, and W1 bands.

The study of short orbital period of delta scuti pulsating variable stars
Proceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2019AbstractAs a pulsating star moves in its binary orbit, the path length of the light between us and the star varies, leading to the periodic variation in the arrival time of the signal from the star to us (earth). With the consideration of pulsators light arrival time delay effects several new methods which allows using Kepler photometric data (light ...

The observational history of the Delta Scuti star AI CVn wasa traced, and it was found to be incomplete and contradictory. It is suggested that the star is misclassified as a spectroscopic binary in The Bright Star Catalogue and that simultaneous spectroscopic and photometric observations are needed to determine the true nature of this star.

Rapidly oscillating Ap stars and Delta Scuti variables
2008The discovery of the rapidly oscillating Ap stars has raised many questions concerning the relationship among 6 Sct variables, Ap stars, and other apparent non-varying stars in the 6 Set instability strip. In this paper, the present status of our under standing of the rapidly oscillating Ap stars and the δ Set stars is reviewed, but the former class is
