A magnetic study of the δ Scuti variable HD 21190 and the close solar-type background star CPD −83°64B [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2018
HD 21190 is a known $\delta$ Scuti star showing Ap star characteristics and a variability period of 3.6 h discovered by the Hipparcos mission. Using Gaia DR1 data for an astrometric analysis, it was recently suggested that HD 21190 forms a physical binary system with the companion CPD -83$^{\circ}$ 64B.

Asteroseismology of Triple-mode Radial δ Scuti Star: TIC 400562821

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We investigated the pulsating behavior of TIC 400562821 using high-precision observations from TESS. Fourier analysis of time-series data revealed three independent frequencies.

Variable stars in the globular cluster NGC 3201. I. Multimode SX Phe-type variables

open access: yes, 2003
We report on the discovery of eleven multimode SX Phoenicis--type blue stragglers in the field of the southern globular cluster NGC 3201. In these variables both radial and non-radial modes are excited.

Two High-amplitude δ Scuti–γ Doradus Hybrids Constrained by the Radial Fundamental p and Equally Spaced g Modes

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Based on 2 minutes cadence TESS data, we investigate pulsations of TIC 65138566 and TIC 139729335 and discover them to be two new high-amplitude δ Scuti stars with equally spaced g modes.

The first CCD photometric study of the open cluster NGC 2126

open access: yes, 2003
We present the first CCD photometric observations of the northern open cluster NGC 2126. Data were taken on eight nights in February and December 2002 with a total time span of ~57 hours.

Discrete Scale Relativity And SX Phoenicis Variable Stars

open access: yes, 2009
Discrete Scale Relativity proposes a new symmetry principle called discrete cosmological self-similarity which relates each class of systems and phenomena on a given Scale of nature's discrete cosmological hierarchy to the equivalent class of analogue ...

Hilbert Transform Reveals Unusual Modulation in Delta Scuti Star KIC 10407873

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We report a δ Scuti star, KIC 10407873, exhibiting significant amplitude modulation. Fourier analysis of Kepler long-cadence data (i.e., Q0-Q17, spanning 1471 days) reveals two distinct features: harmonic series of frequencies in the low-frequency region

Modelling of the fast rotating delta Scuti star Altair

open access: yes, 2005
We present an asteroseismic study of the fast rotating star HD187642 (Altair), recently discovered to be a delta Scuti pulsator. We have computed models taking into account rotation for increasing rotational velocities.

Signature of High-amplitude Pulsations in Seven δ Sct Stars via TESS Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
The regular behavior of the pulsations of high-amplitude δ Sct (HADS) stars gives a greater chance to investigate the interiors of stars. We analyzed seven HADS stars showing peak-to-peak amplitudes of more than 0.3 mag that were newly observed by TESS ...

Pulsation Mode Identification and Classification of 46 High-amplitude δ Scuti Stars from 50 Candidates with TESS Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Asteroseismic modeling of high-amplitude δ Scuti (HADS) variables critically depends on their accurate classification, which provides robust constraints on stellar physical parameters.
