Delta Shock Wave in a Perfect Fluid Model with Zero Pressure
Zeitschrift Fur Naturforschung - Section A Journal of Physical Sciences, 2019Abstract The Riemann problem for a perfect fluid model with zero pressure is considered, where the external force is a given continuous function of time. All of exact solutions are given. In particular, a vacuum occurs in the solutions, although initial data stay far away from the vacuum.

DELTA SHOCK WAVES AS A LIMIT OF SHOCK WAVES
Journal of Hyperbolic Differential Equations, 2007We discus the existence of delta shock waves obtained as a limit of two shock waves. For that purpose we perturb a prototype of weakly hyperbolic 2 × 2 system (sometimes called the "generalized pressureless gas dynamics model") by an additional term (called the "generalized vanishing pressure"). The obtained perturbed system is strictly hyperbolic and

Formation of $$\delta $$-shock waves in isentropic fluids
Zeitschrift für angewandte Mathematik und Physik, 2020The author considers the Riemann problem for the Euler equations in one spatial dimension for isentropic flow of a compressible gas. The equation of state can be any, the author considers polytropic, pressureless, and Chaplygin gases. Possibility of formation of delta-shocks is shown. The concept of \(\alpha\)-solution is introduced as a distributional

Oscillating delta wings with attached shock waves
AIAA Journal, 1977An unsteady flow theory is presented for studying the flowfield in the compression side of an oscillating flat delta wing with attached shock waves. Regular perturbation methods are used to analyze the in-phase and outof-phase flow components for small amplitudes and reduced frequencies. In particular, the out-of-phase flow is found to be "quasiconical,

Shadow Waves: Entropies and Interactions for Delta and Singular Shocks
Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, 2009The author considers the conservation law \[ \partial_tf(U)+\partial_xg(U) = 0 \] with \(U:\mathbb R^2_+\rightarrow\mathbb R^n\), \(f,g:\mathbb R^n\rightarrow\mathbb R^n\). The focus is on the delta and singular shock solutions of the Riemann problem, their entropy admissibility conditions, and their interaction.
