Demersal fish in Delaware coastal waters
Journal of Natural History, 1980Summary During 1973–74, demersal fish were sampled seasonally by otter trawl from two inshore sites on the Delaware Atlantic Coast. A total of 2400 fish was taken at both sites. Of the 33 species collected, 19 were common to both sites. Urophycis chuss accounted for 38·9% of the total catch at the Cape Henlopen site and Prionotus carolinus comprised 18·

Deep demersal fishes in the Canary Islands
2023Some remarks about deep-sea demersal species of fishes captured in fishery prospections from La Gomera, Gran Canaria and Tenerife (Canary Islands) between 300-2500 m depth are given. Long-lines and experimental traps were used during the cruises. Twenty-five species werre collected.

Reproductive Strategies of Demersal and Pelagic Spawning Fish
Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, 1984The spawning tactic of herring (Clupea harengus) wherein batches of eggs are deposited leading to a succession of larval cohorts is elaborated. We found the time interval between cohorts to be a function of larval growth rate as well as larval mouth size.
