Demountable 3He melting curve thermometer
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1978We describe a demountable 3He melting curve thermometer, suitable for use at low temperatures with liquid helium samples at any pressure. The thermometer’s resolution is 10 μK below 0.l K. It is designed to be particularly useful for experiments performed in magnetic fields.

A Class of Transportable Demountable Structures
International Journal of Space Structures, 1987A family of foldable, portable structures is described which is based on the Yoshimura buckle pattern for axially compressed cylindrical shells. Triangular panels are joined to form a structure which has considerable shape flexibility but rigidity when erected. By suitable arrangement of panels, structures with large clear spans are possible.

We have been using epoxy adhesive to bond components in a way which has significant advantages over both conventional adhesive and screw joints. The joints are demountable, and can often be used where conventional techniques would be impractical.
