TRUST‐Net: Robust and Uncertainty‐Aware Work Mode Recognition of Multifunction Radar Under Non‐Ideal Pulse Sequences

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
We propose TRUST‐Net, a BiGRU–TCN framework that leverages robust PDW feature reconstruction and a Dirichlet‐based uncertainty‐aware module to significantly improve MFR work mode recognition accuracy. By providing calibrated confidence measures, it effectively handles ambiguous samples and avoids overconfident decisions.

Automatic Updates of Transition Potential Matrices in Dempster-Shafer Networks Based on Evidence Inputs

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Sensor fusion is a topic central to aerospace engineering and is particularly applicable to unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Evidential Reasoning, also known as Dempster-Shafer theory, is used heavily in sensor fusion for detection classification.

Approximations for Decision Making in the Dempster-Shafer Theory of Evidence

open access: yesCoRR, 2013
The computational complexity of reasoning within the Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence is one of the main points of criticism this formalism has to face. To overcome this difficulty various approximation algorithms have been suggested that aim at reducing the number of focal elements in the belief functions involved.

Dempster-Shafer's Basic Probability Assignment Based on Fuzzy Membership Functions

open access: yesELCVIA Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis, 2004
In this paper, an image segmentation method based on Dempster-Shafer evidence theory is proposed. Basic probability assignment (bpa) is estimated in unsupervised way using pixels fuzzy membership degrees derived from image histogram.

D-S Evidence Fusion Method Based on High Conflict Correction [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2018
Before using D-S(Dempster-Shafer) theory for evidence fusion, the extent of the conflict among evidences should be determined.Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes a conflict measure and correction method based on trust degree and false degree. It ...

UDF-3D: Uncertainty-Driven Decision-Level Fusion for Camera–LiDAR 3D Object Detection

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Camera and LiDAR provide highly complementary information, and effective fusion of both modalities is desirable for 3D object detection. However, existing decision-level fusion methods mainly rely on the confidence of objects while neglecting the object ...
