Four-channel integrated-optic wavelength demultiplexer with weak polarization dependence [PDF]
A planar four-channel wavelength demultiplexer with weak polarization dependence is proposed and demonstrated. This demultiplexer is based on an optical-phased array.

A Simple Unimolecular Multiplexer/Demultiplexer
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2008Here we show that the reversible acid/base switching of the absorption and photoluminescence properties of a fluorophore as simple as 8-methoxyquinoline in solution can form the basis for molecular 2:1 multiplexing and 1:2 demultiplexing with a clear-cut digital response.

OFDM with biorthogonal demultiplexing
2000 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37100), 2002In this paper we study biorthogonal schemes for frequency division multiplexing. These are schemes which use one given set of orthogonal waveforms for frequency division multiplexing at the transmitter, and a different set of waveforms, which is orthogonal to the multiplexing waveforms, for demultiplexing at the receiver.
