Steroids for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy
The efficacy and safety of high-dose, intermittent IV methylprednisolone (IVMP) as initial and long-term maintenance therapy for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) were analyzed by a retrospective review of outcome data derived from

Beyond the Rash: Simultaneous Bilateral Facial Nerve Palsy Following Childhood Varicella Infection
ABSTRACT Bilateral facial nerve palsy is a rare neurological condition in children and is infrequently associated with primary Varicella (chickenpox) infection. We report the case of a 10‐year‐old previously healthy girl who developed simultaneous bilateral lower motor neuron facial weakness 3 weeks after a self‐limiting varicella infection.

Unexpected Conduction Blocks in SORD‐Related Distal Motor Neuropathy: A Case Report
ABSTRACT Distal weakness requires an extensive differential diagnosis. In this case, conduction blocks indicated multifocal motor neuropathy, but immunotherapy proved ineffective. Ultimately, genetic testing revealed a sorbitol dehydrogenase mutation, highlighting the importance of combining electrophysiological findings with molecular studies in cases

Peripheral nerve injury induces dynamic cortical plasticity, driven by molecular mechanisms such as BDNF and neurotransmitter systems. This review synthesizes subtype‐specific plasticity patterns: compressive injuries trigger rapid reorganization, while metabolic neuropathies lead to maladaptive changes.

MNGIE neuropathy: five cases mimicking chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy
We report five patients with mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy (MNGIE) who had demyelinating peripheral neuropathy. The MNGIE neuropathy had clinical and electrodiagnostic features typical of acquired, rather than inherited ...

In this 28‐patient retrospective cohort, rituximab‐based regimens for IgM‐related neuropathy yielded significant, sustained functional and neurological improvements over a 2‐year follow‐up. Furthermore, reductions in serum IgM levels correlated with improved Inflammatory Neuropathy Cause and Treatment disability scores, highlighting the long‐term ...

FIG4 is essential for lysosomal homeostasis. FIG4‐related disorders present as a continuous spectrum from the juvenile lethality in Yunis‐Varon syndrome to an increased risk of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in adult life. FIG4‐related disorders comprise a novel group of disorders of lysosomal homeostasis and can be classified into severe ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims In ADHERE, subcutaneous efgartigimod PH20 (1000 mg once weekly) was effective and well tolerated in participants with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP). ADHERE+ is an open‐label extension of ADHERE assessing long‐term safety and efficacy. Methods Eligible participants from ADHERE run‐in period
