Longitudinal Monitoring of Systemic Cytokines After Mild Zika Virus Infection Revealed an Association Between Th17 Polarization and Clinical and Serological Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 98, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Zika virus (ZIKV) is a neurotropic virus that can cause a variety of neurological manifestations, ranging from mild forms to severe disorders like Guillain–Barré syndrome and congenital Zika syndrome. The pathophysiology of these complications is not fully understood, but they have been linked to host immune responses, particularly a ...

Mapping protein–protein interactions by mass spectrometry

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 45, Issue 1, Page 69-106, January/February 2026.
Abstract Protein–protein interactions (PPIs) are essential for numerous biological activities, including signal transduction, transcription control, and metabolism. They play a pivotal role in the organization and function of the proteome, and their perturbation is associated with various diseases, such as cancer, neurodegeneration, and infectious ...

SARS‐CoV‐2 Epitope‐Imprinted Polymer Nanofibers Prepared by Reactive Electrospinning as Synthetic Antibodies

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Epitope‐imprinted polymers based on a SARS‐CoV‐2 epitope peptide are prepared with polymeric networks in the form of bulk samples and electrospun fibers using a reactive electrospinning setup. Higher rebinding capacity of electrospun nanofiber is observed when compared to bulk samples.
