Treating Denim Fabrics with Trichoderma Reesei Cellulases
Textile Research Journal, 2000Cellulases are widely used to age denim fabrics. In this work the effects of three purified monocomponent cellulases, EG I, EG II, and CBH I, and two different cellulase mixtures produced by genetically modified strains of Trichoderma reesei are compared for stone washing denim fabrics.

Deposition of nanoparticle multilayers to improve mechanical properties of denim fabrics
The Journal of The Textile Institute, 2014Al2O3 nanoparticles were used for fabrication of multilayer nanocomposite film deposition on cationic denim fabrics by electrostatic self-assembly to improve the mechanical properties. Denim fabrics were pre-treated with 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride (EP3MAC) by a pad-batch method for cationic surface charge.

Treating denim fabrics with immobilized commercial cellulases
Process Biochemistry, 2005Abstract Immobilization of a commercial cellulase (C) onto chemically modified pumice (P) particles has been studied. ZrOCl 2 activated pumice was used as a carrier for the cellulase immobilization and some operational properties of this carrier were determined.

Ozone bleaching of denim fabrics
2008Classic denim jeans are generally fabrics having indigo-dyed warp threads. Depending on the desired effect, a bleaching process can be carried out for denim fabrics. Suitable alternatives for oxidative bleaching with sodium hypochlorite and potassium permanganate are not currently available.
