LVRF (lymphatic and vascular resistance factor) is a VEGFA splice variant upregulated in response to anti‐angiogenic therapy that fosters tumor adaptation through enhanced vascularization, lymphangiogenesis, and metastatic dissemination. Targeting LVRF with fully human neutralizing antibodies disrupts these processes and limits resistant tumor growth ...

Reprogramming tumor cells with LCOR mRNA nanotherapy to enhance immunotherapy
LCOR (Ligand‐dependent corepressor) mRNA encapsulated in polymeric nanoparticles restores LCOR activity in tumor cells, constraining aggressive tumor cell states and increasing tumor immunogenicity. This reprogramming makes tumor cells more vulnerable to T‐cell attack and enhances their response to immune‐checkpoint immunotherapy.

A tumor specific antibody to aid breast cancer screening in women with dense breast tissue
Screening for breast cancer has predominantly been done using mammography. Unfortunately, mammograms miss 50% cancers in women with dense breast tissue. Multi-modal screenings offer the best chance of enhancing breast cancer screening effectiveness.

Optimal Screening in Breast Cancer Survivors With Dense Breasts on Mammography
The Oncology Grand Rounds series is designed to place original reports published in the Journal into clinical context. A case presentation is followed by a description of diagnostic and management challenges, a review of the relevant literature, and a summary of the authors’ suggested management approaches.

Engineering IL‐4 resistant proinflammatory human myeloid cells for cancer immunotherapy
We developed a scalable workflow to generate proinflammatory human myeloid cells. CRISPR/Cas9‐edited CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells were expanded and differentiated with M‐CSF. Deletion of STAT6 or STAT6/NFKB1 enhanced macrophage proinflammatory gene expression and cytokine secretion in the presence of IL‐4 while maintaining antibody ...

The multifaceted roles of lysosomes in cancer
Lysosomes support cancer cell adaptation by integrating macromolecule degradation and nutrient recycling with nutrient sensing, inter‐organelle communication and immune regulation. These interconnected functions can promote tumour growth, stress tolerance and therapy resistance, while also creating context‐dependent vulnerabilities that may be ...

Attitudes of cancer patients toward ctDNA‐based liquid biopsy for follow‐up
This mixed‐methods study explored cancer patients' experiences, knowledge, and preferences regarding ctDNA‐based liquid biopsy for follow‐up. Awareness of ctDNA was low and recall of previous liquid biopsy was imperfect, yet acceptance was high.

The mammographically dense breast : strategies in breast cancer imaging [PDF]
W e have known for some time that a dense breast on mammography presents diagnostic problems in the detection of breast cancer. It has also been suggested that women with dense breasts are at a higher risk for developing breast cancer.
