ROS Self‐Supply Nanoplatform Based on Fenton Catalyst for Chemodynamic and Immunotherapy: Reprogramming Cold Tumor Into Hot Tumor in Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional HA‐conjugated nanoplatform (HA‐PGMC) integrates CuO2, glucose oxidase, and mil‐100 to enable cascade catalytic ROS generation in tumor microenvironments. This self‐supplying ROS strategy induces immunogenic cell death, reprograms “cold” tumors into “hot” ones, and synergizes with PD‐L1 blockade, achieving potent chemodynamic ...

Contrast-Enhanced Spectral Mammography: A Radiologic-Pathologic Perspective of a Novel Functional Imaging Modality for Breast Cancer

open access: yesPhilippine Journal of Pathology, 2017
Contrast-enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) is an emerging and promising functional imaging modality that tries to address the paucity of physiologic-based tumor imaging for the detection of breast cancer. This article describes two cases of women with

Breast density knowledge and willingness to delay treatment for pre-operative breast cancer imaging among women with a personal history of breast cancer

open access: yesBreast Cancer Research
Background Following a breast cancer diagnosis, it is uncertain whether women’s breast density knowledge influences their willingness to undergo pre-operative imaging to detect additional cancer in their breasts.

Loss of E3 Ubiquitin Ligase RINES via CpG Methylation Relieves Suppression of STAT3 and MYC, Facilitating Multiple Tumorigeneses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dysregulated protein modifications drive tumorigenesis. RINES, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, represses tumor cell proliferation and metastasis by facilitating RING domain‐dependent, ubiquitin–proteasome‐mediated degradation of STAT3 and MYC, which consequently restrains cancer stemness and oncogenic progression.

Prognostic and predictive value of TP53 mutations in node-positive breast cancer patients treated with anthracycline- or anthracycline/taxane-based adjuvant therapy : results from the BIG 02-98 phase III trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Introduction: Pre-clinical data suggest p53-dependent anthracycline-induced apoptosis and p53-independent taxane activity. However, dedicated clinical research has not defined a predictive role for TP53 gene mutations. The aim of the current study was to

Selenium Nanoparticles Selectively Target KRAS G13D to Inhibit Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The mechanisms of SeNPs therapy in cancer treatment, encompass three parallel actions: (1) seleno‐amino acids, key metabolites, upregulate GPX2 expression, thereby inhibiting tumor metastasis via the GPX2‐HIF1α‐VEGF signaling pathway; (2) selenite (SeO32−), an inorganic metabolite, forms hydrogen bonds with amino acid residues 13–17 of the KRAS G13D ...
