On Security Against Pollution Attacks in Network Coding Enabled 5G Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Future communication networks need to harness the available spectrum more efficiently to cater the requirements of the ever-increasing digital devices. Higher data rate with low latency is a major requirement of future communication networks.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Neural Radiance Field Dynamic Scene SLAM Based on Ray Segmentation and Bundle Adjustment

open access: yesSensors
The current neural implicit SLAM methods have demonstrated excellent performance in reconstructing ideal static 3D scenes. However, it remains a significant challenge for these methods to handle real scenes with drastic changes in lighting conditions and

Distributed super dense coding over noisy channels

open access: yes, 2012
We study multipartite super dense coding in the presence of a covariant noisy channel. We investigate the case of many senders and one receiver, considering both unitary and non-unitary encoding.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Video Representation Learning by Dense Predictive Coding [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE/CVF International Conference on Computer Vision Workshop (ICCVW), 2019
The objective of this paper is self-supervised learning of spatio-temporal embeddings from video, suitable for human action recognition. We make three contributions: First, we introduce the Dense Predictive Coding (DPC) framework for self-supervised representation learning on videos. This learns a dense encoding of spatio-temporal blocks by recurrently

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Non-invasive load monitoring based on improved color coding and dense convolutional network

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
Current research on non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) based on V-I trajectories faces challenges such as low recognition accuracy for appliances with similar trajectories and complex network structures.
