Applications of the dense plasma focus to nuclear fusion and plasma astrophysics
This paper investigates the dense plasma focus (DPF) for applications to nuclear fusion processes in reactors and in astrophysical plasmas. The scaling derived from experiments suggests a DPF of 100 MJ could reach break-even in a reactor and provides parameter space information for astrophysical problems.

The Role of A-Kinase Anchoring Proteins for Inhibitory cAMP Signalling in Platelets [PDF]
Platelets are small circulating blood cells that mediate haemostasis and thrombosis. Platelets respond to vascular damage by adhesion, granule release, and aggregation.

STABILITY OF THE DENSE PLASMA FOCUS.
The influence of small dc axial magnetic fields upon the stability of the focused plasma column is shown in the light of soft x rays. The material damage to the center electrode and the intense x-ray emission at the electrode face as a result of electron bombardment is considerably reduced.

On filamentation in the dense plasma focus
Striking pictures showing filamentary structures in the plasma focus have intrigued researchers from the early days of plasma focus research. A definitive understanding of their occurrence, origin, structure, and role in plasma focus physics is still not in sight as summarized in a recent comprehensive review.

Atomic-state-dependent screening model for hot and warm dense plasmas
Atoms embedded in dense hot plasmas are affected by complex many-body interactions which challenges our capacity to model high energy density plasma. The authors propose a solution to the effects of many-body interactions on ions in dense plasmas, with a

Simultaneous Ultra-Fast Imaging and Neutron Emission from a Compact Dense Plasma Focus Fusion Device
Recently, there has been intense interest in small dense plasma focus (DPF) devices for use as pulsed neutron and X-ray sources. Although DPFs have been studied for decades and scaling laws for neutron yield versus system discharge current and energy ...
