Trueness of intraoral scanners according to subgingival depth of abutment for fixed prosthesis

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
This study aimed to compare the trueness of intraoral scanners (IOSs) according to the subgingival finish line depth of tooth preparation for fixed prostheses. The prepared maxillary right first molar was fabricated by using ceramic material.

The Evolution of Dental Materials over the Past Century: Silver and Gold to Tooth Color and Beyond. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The field of dental materials has undergone more of a revolution than an evolution over the past 100 y. The development of new products, especially in the past half century, has occurred at a staggering pace, and their introduction to the market has been

Contextual and individual assessment of dental pain period prevalence in adolescents: a multilevel approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background Despite evidence that health and disease occur in social contexts, the vast majority of studies addressing dental pain exclusively assessed information gathered at individual level.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Signalling networks regulating dental development

open access: yesMechanisms of Development, 1997
There has been rapid progress recently in the identification of signalling pathways regulating tooth development. It has become apparent that signalling networks involved in Drosophila development and development of mammalian organs such as the limb are also used in tooth development.
