Effect of biofilm removal from the occlusal tooth surfaces on fluorescence measurements. A clinical study [PDF]
Aim: Early diagnosis and monitoring of caries lesions are the most important issues of primary and secondary prevention policies. The intraoral VistaCamiX(DurrDental, Bietigheim‐Bissingen,Germany) uses the fluorescence phenomenon for a non‐invasive ...

Charge carrier concentration and mobility in TiO2, ZrO2, and HfO2 powder films are experimentally mapped as a function of temperature. The results uncover polaron‐mediated transport regimes and field‐activated conduction, enabling the design of oxide‐based electronic and energy devices with thermally tunable functionality.

A diffusion model for microleakage in dental restorations
Abstract Microleakage is a significant problem in restorative dentistry. A model based on the principle of diffusion was developed to quantify the process of microleakage. The model required a certain quantity of radiotracer to be placed in the cavity and allowed to diffuse through the microgap that existed around the restoration.

The Hierarchical Structure of Sheep Wool and Its Impact on Physical Properties
Sheep wool, a prevalent α‐keratinous fiber, is an essential model for studying protein‐based fibers. Its genetic diversity across breeds enables the establishment of multiscale structure‐property relationships, uncovering previously elusive insights into wool's hierarchical structure.
