PENGARUH PERILAKU IBU MENGENAI KESEHATAN GIGI TERHADAP PERUBAHAN STATUS RADANG GIGI
Behavioral factor is considered to be one of the affecting factors in individual or community health status. Preliminary studies show that dental plaque is the main causative factor of gingivitis. Mature dental plaque produces bacterial products that can

Effect of age on dental plaque deposition and its control by ultrasonic scaling, dental hygiene chew, and chlorhexidine (0.2%w/v) in dogs [PDF]
Background and Aim: Periodontitis is the most prevalent inflammatory dental disease caused by a lack of oral hygiene measures in domestic animals. The periodontal disease complex arises as a result of bacterial biofilm deposition termed as plaque on the ...

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), while holistic and historically esteemed, faces challenges in “miracle cures” due to slow onset, long cycles, and difficulty controlling quality. This study obtains the active ingredients, glabridin (GLA) and puerarin (PUE), from Ge‐Gen Decoction (GGD), developing a safe and effective drug delivery system, GLA‐PUE ...

Natural Blue Pigment from Gardenia jasminoides Ellis (Rubiaceae) as a Dental Plaque Disclosant
Background: Dental caries and periodontal disease are bacterial infectious disease, mainly caused by plaque, a bacterial colony deposited on the tooth surface and gum tissue. Dental plaque disclosants easily stain the dental plaque, making them effective

A Statistical Modeling Approach to Computer-Aided Quantification of Dental Biofilm [PDF]
Biofilm is a formation of microbial material on tooth substrata. Several methods to quantify dental biofilm coverage have recently been reported in the literature, but at best they provide a semi-automated approach to quantification with significant input from a human grader that comes with the graders bias of what are foreground, background, biofilm ...

Multivariate cluster point process to quantify and explore multi-entity configurations: Application to biofilm image data [PDF]
Clusters of similar or dissimilar objects are encountered in many fields. Frequently used approaches treat the central object of each cluster as latent. Yet, often objects of one or more types cluster around objects of another type. Such arrangements are common in biomedical images of cells, in which nearby cell types likely interact.

Testosterone enhances Aβ‐induced autophagy in microglia via the non‐genomic testosterone receptor GPRC6A, promoting Aβ clearance by suppressing ERK phosphorylation and inhibiting mTOR activation. In male 5xFAD mice, testicular removal reduces microglial autophagy and Aβ clearance, which is restored by testosterone.

Substrate geometry affects population dynamics in a bacterial biofilm [PDF]
Biofilms inhabit a range of environments, such as dental plaques or soil micropores, often characterized by intricate, non-even surfaces. However, the impact of surface irregularities on the population dynamics of biofilms remains elusive as most biofilm experiments are conducted on flat surfaces.

A biomimetic MOF nanocarrier for macrophage‐targeting delivery of both mitochondria and anti‐miR‐127 is designed with an aim to revitalize macrophages and remold the inflammatory microenvironment for treating acute lung injury. By leveraging the macrophages‐targeting property and pH‐responsiveness, ZIF‐8 nanocarriers facilitated efficient delivery of ...
