A Simplified Technique for the Fabrication of Esthetic and Functional Space Maintainers in Pediatric Dentistry. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Esthet Restor Dent
ABSTRACT Introduction Premature loss of primary molars remains a frequent clinical problem in pediatric dentistry and may lead to space loss, occlusal disturbances, and the need for future orthodontic intervention. Conventional space maintainers, such as the band‐and‐loop appliance, are effective in preserving arch length but do not restore occlusal ...

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.

Unique deficits in place coding across subfields of the hippocampus in a mouse model of temporal lobe epilepsy

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Memory problems are comorbid with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Animal models of TLE reveal impairments in spatial firing fields of hippocampal place cells, providing a potential neural substrate for memory problems. Each subfield of the hippocampus carries out unique aspects of spatial memory, yet little is known about how ...

Characterisation of sleep apneas and respiratory circuitry in mice lacking CDKL5

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 34, Issue 2, April 2025.
Summary CDKL5 deficiency disorder is a rare genetic disease caused by mutations in the CDKL5 gene. Central apneas during wakefulness have been reported in patients with CDKL5 deficiency disorder. Studies on CDKL5‐knockout mice, a CDKL5 deficiency disorder model, reported sleep apneas, but it is still unclear whether these events are central (central ...
