Deep Characterization of Isomerization in the Human Eye Lens Proteome by Crystallin‐Depleted Data‐Independent Acquisition

open access: yesAging Cell, EarlyView.
Long‐lived proteins can undergo spontaneous isomerization over time. By examining proteins in the eye lens, we quantified isomerization at aspartic acid, serine, histidine, and glutamic acid residues and identified both age‐dependent and structure‐dependent correlations.
